I'm Beth and I am working on finding the best version of myself. It definitely was not the version of me from my last semester in college.
I want this blog to be a place to hold me accountable for the things I say I want to do, as well as hopefully inspire someone else out there to take steps towards finding their best self. Holy cow that just sounded super self-help, inspirational, cheesy. I'm sorry. I'll try to stay away from that and just keep it real but sometimes the cheesy stuff helps to get me going.
With the new year coming up I have created a list of things that I want to work on this coming year. Some of them seem simple, like: "Lights out at 11," but let me tell you that is not simple for me. I am not trying to make all of these changes at once, but rather focus on one at a time and then hopefully this time next year I will have made some long-lasting and positive changes in my life.
I am starting the year by taking another stab at completing the Whole30. I have done this twice before, but never made it all the way through. The first time I did it, I made it 21 days and I ended up getting into the best shape of my life. This year I have a Spartan Race a couple of 5ks and a sprint distance triathlon scheduled. I am not currently ready for any of them so I need to get my butt moving!
I am hoping that by putting these words out for all of the world to see, I will be more motivated to finish this time. And maybe find some other crazy whole-30ers out there. If you have any questions about Whole30, please ask away, I am by no means an expert but whenever I tell people I am doing it I get a lot of questions. If you are considering do the January Whole30 I recommend getting the book, it has tons of recipes and tips to get the most out of it.
